The site is only a 5 minute walk from the famous Watercress Steam Railway, 4 miles from the quaint Georgian town of Alresford, and 11 miles from Winchester and Petersfield. Two Hoots is a great base for exploring Hampshire.
Two Hoots Campsite is a small, friendly site, in a pretty rural setting, approx. one and a half acres of level grass, lined from the lane with a bluebell copse.
To avoid disappointment please be aware that although there are many activities to do in and around this area, we are a small, quiet countryside site; because of this and the fact that many people come to this site to relax, we don’t accept group bookings (however small), visitors, ball, frisbee or any airborne games, and ask for quiet from 10:30 pm.
For motorhomes and caravans we have the usual facilities of fresh water, Elsan, waste disposal and electric hook-up if required. All vans require their own toilet and shower facilities. All touring pitches are hard standings. Any vans with awnings on grass staying for certain periods will be asked to move pitch or to lift the sides to allow the grass to recover. Awning groundsheets are not permitted.
The site is tidy with the grass kept short and maintained to a high standard. To help to minimize our impact on the environment we have introduced measures such as low wattage lighting and timers for electricity and water usage, and we manage waste through our on-site recycling area.
Two Hoots can now offer the exciting addition of two new shepherds huts, Keepers Cosy and Lazy Days along with our four camping pods, Appleby Nook, Hobbits Lodge, Snugglewood and Sleepy Hollow.
Our camping pods were the first eco-friendly pods in Hampshire. They peep from within a wooded copse adjacent to the campsite with grassland to the front and beautiful far-reaching views.
A glamping break makes a perfect gift for someone special.
Treat someone you love to a few relaxing nights away from it all in a cosy Shepherds Hut or Camping Pod.
